John Lennon called himself a working class hero. George Harrison was a working class mystic. Born in Liverpool as the son of a bus conductor and a shop assistant, for the first six years of his life he lived in a house with no indoor bathroom. This book gives an honest, in-depth view of Harrison’s personal journey— from his blue-collar childhood to his role as a world-famous spiritual icon.

Author Gary Tillery’s approach is warmly human and free of the fawning but insolent tone of most rock biographers. He frankly discusses the role drugs played in leading Harrison to mystical insight but emphasizes that he soon renounced psychedelics as a means to the spiritual path. It was with conscious commitment that Harrison journeyed to India, studied sitar with Ravi Shankar, practiced yoga, learned meditation from the Maharishi Mahesh Yogi, and became a devotee of Hinduism.

George worked hard to subdue his own ego and to understand the truth beyond appearances. He preferred to keep a low profile, but his empathy for suffering people led him to spearhead the first charitable rock-and-roll super event. And despite his wealth and fame, he was always delighted to slip on overalls and perform manual labor on his grounds. At ease with holy men discussing the Upanishads and the Bhagavad Gita, he was ever the bloke from Liverpool whose father drove a bus, whose brothers were tradesmen, and who had worked himself as an apprentice electrician until the day destiny called.

Tillery’s engaging narrative depicts Harrison as a sincere seeker who acted out of genuine care for humanity and used his celebrity to be of service in the world.

Rico Paganini has lead a world wide investigation into the possible startling truths about our actual roots and beginnings as the human race. Is it possible that the Great Pyramids are in fact ages older then the official line put forth by authorities, and in fact great revelations lay directly beneath them about our true heritage?

The three large pyramids in Giza (also called Gizeh), along with their sentinel, the Sphinx, are breathtaking wonders of the ancient world that are wrapped in mystery. These structures were built upon a slightly raised plateau on the edge of the present-day Egyptian metropolis of Cairo.

Constructed with incredible precision, they are precisely aligned with the four cardinal points—specific stellar alignments—and are based on mathematical formulas and geometric shapes that still astonish modern science. Though contemporary Egyptologists attribute the building of these structures to the Pharaonic dynasties, beginning around 3000 B.C., there are many indications that they are essentially older, originating from a civilization before our time reckoning. Today’s academic literature still offers no credible explanation of how these ingenious buildings could have been constructed in the Pharaonic era around 2500 B.C.

In his new book, THE LOST EMPIRE OF ATLANTIS, Gavin Menzies, the author of the worldwide bestseller 1421, reveals that Atlantis wasn’t just one island but an entire empire, controlled by the Minoans.   It’s long been known that this extraordinary civilisation, with its great palaces and sea ports based in Crete and nearby Thera (now called Santorini), had a level of sophistication that belied its place in the Bronze Age world but never before has the extent of its reach been uncovered.

 Through painstaking research, including recent DNA evidence, Menzies has pieced together an incredible picture of a cultured people who traded with India and Mesopotamia, Africa and Western Europe, including Britain and Ireland, and even sailed to North America.
