Howard grew up in the northwest suburbs of Chicago, graduated from college in Arizona in 1989 and shortly afterwards entered the financial world as an investment manager. He married in 1994 and has two children.

In August 2002, shortly after his 35th birthday, something rather remarkable happened. In the middle of ordinary life, this married father of two, with no background in spirituality, quantum physics or religion, went through a spontaneous and massive shift in consciousness that revealed the answers to more about life than he ever imagined knowing.

The result for Howard was an immediate release from all disharmony and fear in life. A direct connection between everything in the world and each object in existence was seen for its complete purpose and perfection. Scott Cluthe has two special guests tonight. Patricia Bosworth has just released, Jane Fonda: The Private Life of a Public Woman. Scott talks with Ms. Bosworth first. Then Dr. Mark Banschick joins Scott to discuss his latest, The Intelligent Divorce.

Patricia Bosworth is one of the most gifted writers in the USA today.  She spent 10 years working on broadway. She also freelanced in journalism for the New York Times, and later became an editor at McCalls magazine, Holiday, and managing editor of Harpers Bazaar. Ms. Bosworth joined Vanity Fair as a contributing editor in 1988.

She is currently co-chair of the Biography Seminar at NYU.

She has published biographies of Montgomery Clift,  photographer Diane Arbus and Marlon Brando. She is a senior fellow at the National Arts Journalism program at Columbia.

Scott also interviews Dr. Mark Banschik, expert on divorce and the effects it has on children in particular. Mark Banschick, MD is an advocate for the children of divorce. As a child and adolescent psychiatrist, he has been working with divorcing families for over twenty years. The Intelligent Divorce, is part of a larger project  designed to help parents under stress – and their children. He was featured on CBS’s The Early Show, teaching his child centered approach to divorce.
